Boys HEAD COACH

Chris Feist

Coach Feist is entering his 16th year as the Head Coach of the Tahoma Bears. Coach Feist also served as an Assistant Coach for the Bears for four years prior to taking over the Head Coaching position. Chris was a state champion for Fife High School in 1995. He went on to be an All-American for Central Washington University. In his time at Tahoma as Head Coach, Chris has coached the Bears to a top ten finish in all but one year, including winning the State Championship in 2012 and 2017. He has coached 20 State Champions and 83 state placers in his time at Tahoma. The Bears have went undefeated in league since the 2008-2009. Chris currently serves as the Associate Principal of Tahoma High School. 

Coach Feist’s Goals:

1.     Continue to align philosophy, goals and technique for Wolf Pack Jr. Wrestling, TSD Middle Schools, Bear Claw Freestyle Club and Tahoma High School Wrestling so our athletes will experience smooth transitions.

2.     Increase athletes’ classroom and athletic performance with a training plan that incorporates sound technique, goal setting, top physical training, good nutrition and an emphasis on sportsmanship.

3.     Create opportunities for Tahoma athletes to grow through community contributions.

4.     Continually work to improve communication and connections with: athletes, the student-body, boosters, alumni, parents, teaching staff and other THS teams. 


Girls HEAD COACH

Tim Kitchen

Coach Kitchen is returning to Coaching with the Bears this season after a two stint as the Head Coach at White River High School, where he won a team state title. Coach Kitchen served as an Assistant Coach at Tahoma from 2008-2016. A former Division One wrestler for Oregon University, Coach Kitchen finished his college career as a teammate of Coach Feist at Central Washington University. Coach Kitchen will serve as Tahoma’s first Head Wrestling Coach during this inaugural 2019 season. Coach Kitchen serves as a Special Education Teacher at Tahoma High School.

Assistant Coaches

Boomer Burnham

Coach Burnham is entering his 15th year as an Assistant Coach for the Bears. 

 

Bryce Evans

Coach Evans will be entering his 3rd season with the Bears. A former Bear Claw member and multiple-time state finalist for Rogers High School of Puyallup.

 

Mike Seger

Coach Seger is entering his 14th year as an Assistant Coach for the Bears. Coach Seger is a Tahoma graduate and also teaches social studies at Tahoma high school.

 

Adam Hokenson

Coach Hokenson, a former state finalist for the Bears, is going into is 2nd year of coaching with the Bears.
