Tahoma Bears at Fargo

Over the past two weeks, three Tahoma Bear Wrestlers competed at the most difficult Freestlye and Greco wrestling tournament in the country. The tournament, held in Fargo, North Dakota is an annual event put on by USA Wrestling (www.themat.com), showcasing the top wrestlers from around the United States. In order to qualify for the tournament each wrestler must have either placed in the top three in their respective state or in the top three at a regional tournament. Gage Dress-Moran a soon to be sophomore competed in the cadet division, while Ryden Fu and Dagen Kramer competed in the Junior Division.  Each of the Bears fought hard but came up short of earning All-American status (Top 8). Recent past Tahoma All-Americans include Joey Palmer, Steven Hopkins and Matt Hopkins each of which went on to wrestle in college.  Three other Bears, Cameron Hanson, Nick Whitehead and Austin Michalski also qualified for the tournament, but elected not to compete this year.
