Week 2 for the Bears

The Bears had a great second week of competition. The week began with a win in our first league dual of the year, facing the Kent Meridian Royals, on Wednesday. Thursday night, the Bears traveled to Enumclaw for the Battle of the Bone. Set up as a Tri-Dual, the Bears first took down Lake Stevens, the returning State Champions. Always a well coached team, Lake Stevens is a great team to test ourselves with early in the season. The Bears then dismantled Enumclaw, winning 13 of 14 matches. It was a special night for Tahoma's first ever State Placer Lee Reichert. He was honored that night in a ceremony inducting him into Enumclaw's Athletic Hall of Fame. The Bears took 2nd at the Olympic Duals on Saturday. The team had wins over Bremerton, Yelm and South Kitsap. The Bears lost a close match to 2nd ranked Curtis in the finals. The Bears have their first league home dual this Wednesday night against Kennedy Catholic. The team will travel to Tri-State this weekend, held at North Idaho College.
